BOCA RATON, FL (October 16, 2012) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Altier Jewelers, a family owned and operated watch and jewelry retailer located in Boca Raton for more than 50 years, hosted a “Pretty in Pink” diamond fundraiser to support the battle against breast cancer. The awareness event raised $25,000 for the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Combining awareness with beauty among the rarest pink diamonds in the world, guests enjoyed entertainment, signature pink cocktails and themed décor, hors d’ oeuvres, and a spectacular live auction. More than 150 of the rarest pink diamonds were available for purchase helping to support the Go Pink Challenge which benefits the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer centers in South Florida and is accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons. The Lynn Cancer Institute treats more than 3,000 cancer patients each year in facilities such as the Harvey & Phyllis Sandler Pavilion, the state-of-the-art cancer center; as well as other respective satellite locations in Delray Beach.
More than 20 oncology physicians and a full complement of oncology professionals are on staff to serve the patients at the Lynn Cancer Institute.
